Current Status: Cars are available by Request from owners throughout Waterloo/Kitchener. Weekly subscriptions have been launched to provide safer transportation should you need to leave the house or if you want to do delivery and earn money.

As the situation with COVID-19 continues to evolve around the world and in Ontario, we want to assure you that we're taking added precautions to keep customers and their passengers safe. We've taken a few measures while we monitor the situation and advices of Health Canada.

  1. Additional Cleaning: We've asked car owners to increase the frequency of cleaning between trips to ensure that cars are as clean as possible. We also ask that you take action in keeping the car clean throughout your trip.
  2. Reduced Service: Following the advice from our property partners, we've temporarily disabled service from some locations until April 3rd. We will continue to be operational in other locations and by Request.
  3. Long-Term Options: We understand that some of you will still need to get to places in the city, whether it's for groceries or to work. If you are looking to book a vehicle on a weekly basis. These cars are now available from locations outside of the campus areas. Rates start as low as $199/week including your insurance. Car owners will also provide a contact-less pick up or delivery option.
  4. Removing Cancellation Fees: We will be temporarily removing cancellation fees for any trips should you feel the need to cancel a trip you book on ShiftRide.

We can all make a difference in slowing down the growth of COVID-19 by taking the suggested precautions including social distancing, increased hand-washing, and staying home if you're not feeling well.
