Generally, we don't require a safety or mechanical inspection before you list your car. However, if your car is older than 10 years or has more than 200,000 km, we may request one when you're signing up. In some cases, if customers report an unsafe vehicle, we may also temporarily disable your car from the platform and request a safety inspection from you before you can list your car again.
This is simply because we need to make sure your car is safe to drive, meets the proper eligibility criteria and is functioning normally. Please note that you are responsible for the costs involved in obtaining the safety.
