If you can’t return the car on time before the expected return date and time, please notify us through our online chat. Based on how late you expect to return, here are possible solutions:

I will be late by up to 1 hour or so:

Please contact the car provider and let them know about this. In most cases, they'll be OK with having you return up to an hour. However, please be respectful of the car provider's requirements as they may need the car back by the set return time.

I will be late by up to 2-3 hours or so:

Please contact the car provider and let them know about this. At this point, the car provider will be in touch and may request reimbursement at an hourly rate. This hourly rate is up to the car provider and you will also be subject to our insurance rates at the hourly rate if you choose to return late by a couple of hours.

I will be late more than 3 hours:

Please contact the car provider and let them know about this. At this point, we recommend one of two options:

First, you may be able to extend by a day if the car provider agrees. The car provider will charge a daily extension fee and you will also be subject to our insurance rates at the daily rate if you choose to return late by a day or more.

Second, we recommend that you reach out to your car provider and request to renew your subscription by another week, as in most cases, this can be the most cost-effective option.

Please note:

For all 3 cases, you need to get in touch with your car provider and via our online chat in a timely manner. If the extension is requested last minute, you may not have an option to extend and will be subject to late return fees as explained in our Terms of Service.
